Teacher Lisa

Teacher Lisa joined The Children's Place staff as Director in January of 1989. Lisa attended San Francisco State University, where she graduated with a Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Movement Education for young children. Following graduation, Lisa started teaching kindergarten at Holy Family Day Home, a private school and day care in San Francisco. In the fall of 1983 Lisa entered the graduate program for Early Childhood Education. After finishing coursework in 1989, Lisa accepted the position as Director of The Children's Place.

Teacher Chrissie

Teacher Chrissie

Teacher Chrissie received both and AA degree in Child Development and her Early Childhood Education Certificate from Canada College in May of 2007. She has been working in child care since 2005. Chrissie loves working with children and thrives on making learning fun in a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment. Chrissie joined the TCP staff in July of 2010.

Teacher Gloria

Teacher Gloria

Teacher Gloria was born in el Salvador where she received her elementary and post elementary education. As a Los Angeles resident, she worked as a kindergarten aide for the Los Angeles School District for 6 years. In 1999, she moved to the Bay Area and joined The Children's Place staff. Gloria has completed her study in Early Childhood Education at both Canada and Skyline Colleges. Gloria has also developed a Spanish Class introducing the language to our children.

Teacher Sue

Teacher Sue

Sue is a returning teacher who rejoined the staff in May of 2014. Sue received her Certificate of Early Childhood Education from Canada Collage in December of 1999. After taking time off to raise her two children, Brian and Isabelle, she is returning to the field. Sue worked at TCP from 1995 – 1997 and then again as a teacher from 2002 to 2004. Sue is a reliable, loving individual, who enjoys watching and helping young children grow and learn.

Teacher Chris

Chris received her Early Childhood Development Certificate through Canada College. She has been teaching since 1986. She began her career as an assistant teacher here at The Children's Place and has been teaching ever since. Now retired, Chris has returned as a floating teacher. We are so happy to have Chris working with us. She is a resident of San Mateo, and is the mother of four grown daughters.

Teacher Gabby

Teacher Gabby

Gabby Joined the TCP staff in July of 2015. She has completed 15 units in Early Childhood Education through Canada Collage and has been working with children since 2007. Gabby truly enjoys working with the children and has strong knowledge of child development. Gabby lives in Redwood City California.

Teacher Elizabeth

Elizabeth Joined the TCP staff in March of 2016. She is currently completing her core units in Early Childhood Education through Canada Collage and plans on continuing her education. . Though this is Elizabeth’s first teaching experience, she has demonstrated a natural loving and caring manner with the children. She is attentive to their needs and provides a warm and loving atmosphere for the Children. Elizabeth lives in Redwood City with her Husband.

Substitute Teachers

Teacher Kay

Teacher Kay has been in the Early Childhood field since 1976. She graduated form the College of Notre Dame, Belmont in 1991 with a BS degree in Human Services. Now retired, she substitutes for the staff during meetings and vacations.

Teacher Imelda

Imelda has completed 13 units in Early Childhood Education and is continuing her education. She joined the TCP substitute teacher list in December of 2012

Teacher Andrea

Teacher Andrea joined the staff in 2015 as a Substitute Teacher. She has completed 6 units of Early Childhood education and is working on completing another 6 units. Andrea lives in San Carlos, and has two boys attending San Carlos Schools.
